How to make Bible memory cards
Hiding God's Word in your heart is easier with something you can hold. This free tool turns a list of verses into tidy, printable flashcards you can cut out and carry, tuck into a Bible, or hand around a small group or family.
- Add your verses. Type the reference and paste the verse text from the translation you love to read. Add as many as you like.
- Pick a style. Full cards show the reference and verse together — great for reviewing. Fold-over cards put the reference on the front and the verse on the back, so you can quiz yourself: read the reference, recall the verse, then check.
- Choose a size. Four larger cards per page, or eight smaller ones when you have a lot to memorize.
- Print and cut. Print at home, cut along the card borders, and you're done. Card stock holds up better than paper if you have it.
Making fold-over cards
For fold-over cards, print the page, cut out each card along its outer border, then fold along the dashed centre line so the reference and the verse end up back to back. A dab of glue keeps them together. Now you can flip through the reference side and practise recalling each verse — the classic way to memorize Scripture.
Which translation should I use?
Any translation works — you provide the wording, so the cards match the Bible you actually read. Many people find they memorize most naturally in the version they hear at church. Whichever you choose, add its name in the translation label so you remember which wording you learned.
Frequently asked questions
Is this memory card maker free?
Yes — completely free, with no account and no email needed. Make and print as many sets as you like.
Do you store the verses I type?
No. Everything happens in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded or saved on a server. To keep a set, print it or use your browser's "Save as PDF" option.
What size are the cards?
They're sized to fit a standard Letter or A4 page — four larger cards or eight smaller cards per sheet. Your printer's "fit to page" setting will keep them the right size.
Can I make double-sided flashcards?
Yes. Choose the fold-over style: the reference prints on the front and the verse on the back of the same card once you cut it out and fold along the centre line. No double-sided printer required.
Can I use any Bible translation?
Yes. Because you paste the verse text yourself, the cards use whatever translation you prefer. Add the version name in the translation label to keep track of it.
